The latest addition to the growing Courtney Crumrin Universe is this adventure of a young man named Crumrin, who will eventually become Courtney's Uncle Aloysius. In this tale, young Aloysius is but a menial clerk in a law office. But adventure ensues when he realizes that the man he works for has another more secret occupation as the leader of a secret society bent on eradicating sorcery! Aloysius, when he finds out, wants more than anything to be a part of it. But little does the society know that the fresh-faced young clerk has a secret or two of his own.

Portrait of the Warlock is a tale of subtle intrigue and dark secrets, where nothing is as it seems. It's a change of pace for the Courtney world, but it's guaranteed to surprise and delight.
